Registered Nurse – DOH Licensed

Job Summary

A DOH-licensed Registered Nurse responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, clinical monitoring, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• •Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and clinical needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
• •Provide direct patient care while maintaining safety, dignity, privacy, and comfort.
• •Monitor and document vital signs, patient condition, clinical observations, and treatment responses.
• •Administer medications, IV therapy, injections, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• •Perform nursing procedures in accordance with approved clinical standards and facility protocols.
• •Recognize changes in patients’ conditions and promptly escalate concerns to physicians or senior clinical staff.
• •Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation.
• •Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• •Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
• •Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including appropriate use of PPE and safe handling of clinical waste.
• •Maintain compliance with DOH regulations, professional standards, patient-safety requirements, and facility policies.
• •Participate in emergency response, resuscitation, and other critical-care interventions within scope of practice.
• •Ensure proper handling and checking of medications, equipment, and medical supplies.
• •Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• •Participate in quality-improvement activities, audits, training, and continuing professional development.
• •Maintain professional confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal nursing standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• •Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• •Valid DOH Registered Nurse License .
• •Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required depending on the clinical area.
• •Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred.
• •Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills.
• •Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• •Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and professional nursing standards.
