• SUMMARY: Functions as the RN Care Manager in the Operating Room sharing accountability with other Care Managers on all
• shifts to assist patient/families in achieving outcomes. Together with the health care team manages the continuity of
• care, negotiates, directs and provides patient care services. Additionally, facilitates patient movement through the
• perioperative experience. Under general direction of the surgeon, provides direct patient care as a first assistant
• during surgical intervention.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE

• •Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• •Graduation from accredited nursing program
• •BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
• •Successful completion of RNFA formal program and RNFA exam
• •BLS Certification
• •CNOR Certification preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Three to five years of clinical experience in perioperative nursing including both circulating and scrubbing proficiency.
