Nau mai, haere mai, come join us at Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki!

We are looking for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse interested in working full time (0.8FTE) on a fixed term basis (9mths) covering parental leave at our Whitianga Whānau Health Centre. Although you will be based in Whitianga, you will also be required to work in our Coromandel clinic as rostered. Our Whānau Health Centre's provide primary health care services, treatment and interventions across the lifespan (including mental health and Tamariki Ora) and across multiple clinic and community sites including in the client/whānau home. As a kaupapa Māori health service, all Registered Nurses are responsible for providing culturally appropriate and whānau-centred care to our whānau.

Registered Nurses will work closely with clinic team members, PHO/ Te Whatu Ora colleagues and other Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki services, to ensure whānau health needs are met. You must be passionate about improving health outcomes for Māori.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Practice Nursing experience

A current APC and experience in primary health care/general practice or well child services

Experience in using MedTech Evolution is desirable

To be a cervical smear taker and an authorised vaccinator (or ready to undertake training)

The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) putting our patients and their whānau at ease

To be highly organised and be able to manage your time and workload effectively - particularly when it gets busy

To be flexible, energetic, pro-active with a positive 'can do' attitude - ready to pitch in and help out when needed

If you're interested in studying towards becoming a Nurse Prescriber - then you've come to the right place.

Applicants must also be willing to actively upskill their cultural knowledge. In return for your outstanding skills and expertise we offer a supportive and professional working environment with regular professional development opportunities and a strong focus on our core values of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga and Kotahitanga.

This role is not suitable for new graduate Nurses.

If this sounds like you, please apply now!
