Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Memory Care Unit on a part-time day shift schedule. Position Details

• Location: Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, Middlebury, VT
• Schedule: Part-Time, 8 Hours per Week
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating Weekends
• Unit: Memory Care

What You'll Do

As a nurse on our Memory Care Unit, you will:

• •Provide skilled nursing care to residents living with memory loss and cognitive impairment
• •Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions
• •Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• •Support resident safety, comfort, and quality of life
• •Collaborate with nursing assistants, providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• •Communicate effectively with families and care team members
• •Promote a calm, supportive, resident-centered environment
• •Advocate for residents while maintaining dignity and respect in every interaction

Qualifications

RN Candidates

Current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure

LPN Candidates

Current Vermont Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience in memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or acute care
• •Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• •Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• •Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
