Overview:

Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the Joints/Observation unit . This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in postoperative joint surgery care and observation patients.

Shifts: Multiple - Days and NIghts

Weekly schedule hours: 36

Weekends : every other weekends

Flexible scheduling!! Registered nurses on this unit enjoy self-scheduling along with the opportunity to obtain medical surgical certification, orthopedic certification, and much more for FREE!

Education

Associates Degree – Nursing

OR

Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing

OR

Upcoming graduate from an accredited RN program

Certification/Licensure

• •Registered Nurse
• •Will consider candidates working towards licensure

Experience

• •Previous acute care experience preferred
• •All levels of experience are encouraged to apply

Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program

This 10-week TTP program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical-Surgical areas. For new graduates, this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice.

Program includes:

• •Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in-person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs
• •Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines
• •Hands-on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor
• •Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment
• •A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
