Job Description:

Registered Nurse-Urology (RN)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

• Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm
• Organization: New York Health (NYH)

In This Role, You Will:

• •Administer androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and testosterone injections in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
• •Perform bladder instillations and assist with percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) treatments.
• •Perform suprapubic and Foley catheter changes and related catheter care.
• •Assist with office base procedures during the pre, intra, and post op phases.
• •Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient phone calls, including education, instruction, and follow-up.
• •Manage provider inbox messages and complete timely patient call-backs and clinical triage.
• •Support provider workflows and assist with day-to-day clinical operations as needed.
• •Participate in on-site training and contribute to the orientation and training of staff.
• •Document all care, treatments, and patient communications accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record

We Require:

• •Valid New York State RN License
• •Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• •Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• •Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
• •Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
• •Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
• •Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• •Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs
