At the Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry , the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry I offers, subject to the availability of resources, a project position as

# Research Associate / PostDoc (m/f/x)

(subject to personal qualification, employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting January 1, 2027 . The position is limited until February 29, 2028. The period of employment is governed by § 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG).

## Tasks:

The candidate will be in charge of developing a novel generation of computing architectures based on ion computing. Development of novel switchable ultracapacitors and microsupercapacitors for iontronic applications, synthesis of porous carbon materials and porous membranes, development and adaption of new electrolyte formulations, electrochemical characterization, impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, integration into a team of PhD and master students, scientific publishing, data management.

## Requirements:

• •very good university and PhD degree in chemistry or materials science
• •experience in the field of electrochemistry in particular ultracapacitors, cyclovoltammetry, impedance spectroscopy
• •broad knowledge of materials characterization methods in particular as relevant for porous materials
• •able to work in an international team and to guide a team
• •high self-motivation
• •good command of written and spoken English
• •good PC skills
• •capacity for teamwork and organizational talent
