Research Fellow, CMI Clinical Assessment

About This Opportunity

The Chappel Group at AIBN are seeking an experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support CMI Clinical Assessment and conduct analysis of vaccine clinical trial samples by flow cytometry. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders on joint research projects and will be expected to contribute to service and engagement roles and activities, as well as providing effective supervision for Honours and Higher Degree by Research students.

Key responsibilities will include:

Research: Develop a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.

Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise HDR students and research staff, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and support development.

Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months at Academic Level B.

About You

• •Completion of a PhD in Immunology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or similar discipline.
• •A growing profile in research in these discipline areas.
• •Evidence of a developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
• •Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
• •A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
• •Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities
