Position/Title : Vice President – Residential Credit

Position

We are seeking a Vice President to join the Residential Mortgage Credit team. This position will report to the Head of Seasoned Loan Trading and is based in the Firm’s New York City office.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and execute investment opportunities into residential credit strategies across products

Evaluate leverage opportunities to optimize fund returns

Oversee transactions as they progress through the typical trade life cycle

Manage daily risk positions and review asset performance

Ownership of asset valuation and profit and loss analysis

Work closely with external counterparties to execute transactions

Collaborate with business development and senior leadership to secure prospective fund investors

Requirements

Undergraduate degree; progress towards CFA designation a plus

Minimum 4 - 7 years of relevant experience

Prior experience in a trading and/or underwriting role

Strong analytics and experience with reporting and integrating various models and data

Intermediate to advanced technical skills including MS Excel

Ability to articulate complex strategies and concepts to a wide audience with varying degrees of product knowledge

Comfort communicating with senior leadership and providing direction to senior support staff

Ability to function as a project leader, attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

Familiarity and knowledge of fixed income products, direct exposure to mortgages is preferred

Experience utilizing pricing models and third-party pricing applications (Bloomberg, Intex, CAS, etc.)

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions.
