Respiratory Therapist- Lead

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is

$34.75-$52.49 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist- Lead

Work Schedule for this Position: Typically week days, but may work some weekends as needed.

Position Overview:

Respiratory Therapist treats a range of patients from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people with pulmonary disease. Respiratory Therapist works under the supervision of physicians and delivers a range of respiratory care modalities on scheduled and emergency basis

A Day in the Life:

• •Operates mechanical ventilators.
• •Operates non-invasive mechanical ventilators.
• •Operates high-flow oxygen delivery systems.
• •Draws umbilical cord gases.
• •Draws arterial blood gases.
• •Determines appropriateness and participates in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plans.
• •Gathers information and interprets data regarding patient history, lab results, radiological reports, and other pertinent results regarding patient care.
• •Demonstrates willingness to learn new techniques and new equipment.
• •Actively initiates and participates in communication to assure effective delivery of respiratory care.
• •Communicates with patients and family in a respectful manner.

About You!

This Job is For You if You Have:

• •Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• •Credentialed through the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• •Licensed in the State of Washington as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• •Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
• •Ability to learn and utilize new technologies
• •Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.

A Wow if You Have:

• •Five or more years’ experience.
• •BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• •Previous leadership experience.
