Review Analyst

Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices, Office of the Executive Secretary. As a Review Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting mission-critical functions within the office. The incumbent will assist in coordinating policy and operational documents, tracking and analyzing issues requiring leadership attention, managing workflows and deadlines, and ensuring that materials meet established standards.

Duties

As a Review Analyst, you will: Provide administrative support functions for tracking and monitoring policy and operational issues within an assigned portfolio to ensure policy consistency and support for the Administration and the Department's priorities and programs. Review and analyze materials for the office for policy consistency and identify policy concerns, bringing these to the attention of others in the Office of the Executive Secretary. Assist senior staff with tracking and monitoring policy and operational issues within an assigned portfolio to ensure policy consistency and support for the Administration and the Department's priorities and programs. Analyze policy and operational recommendations, providing recommendations to senior specialists and analysts. Assist senior staff with developing briefing materials for the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and other key officials concerning relevant policy issues and major indicators of interest to the Department.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Experience analyzing policy or operational issues and making recommendations; AND -Developing and coordinating the clearance of briefing and other materials for senior leadership; AND -Reviewing materials for policy alignment and identifying potential risks and issues; AND -Tracking policy initiates using databases or workflow systems. OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
