Risk-Credit Risk- CRG Asset Finance-Salt Lake City-Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• •Assess the credit risk and financial strength of counterparts by performing credit analysis of both quantitative and qualitative risk factors in the rating methodology on Asset Backed Structured Finance (eg warehouse financing), Real Estate Corporate (eg REIT financing) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE mortgage financing)
• •Perform counterparty reviews, including recommending appropriate internal risk rating for each counterparty and regulatory risk ratings, where applicable
• •Proactively monitor and assess counterparts and industry subsectors and report relevant information and its impact to senior management in a timely manner
• •Develop a thorough understanding of rating methodology, counterparty financial disclosures and transaction structure/type
• •Identify and escalate notable industry and transaction specific performance trends and recommend appropriate action to senior team members
• •Monitor the performance of counterparties in the portfolio, including adherence to covenants and analyzing the counterparties’ performance relative to budget and/or underwriting expectations
• •Assist senior members of the team in various projects (regulatory initiatives, methodology uplift, internal and external audit/exam, and ongoing monitoring)

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, quantitative data analytics fields and other degrees that prepare candidates in analytical thinking and effective writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• •Relevant work experience (1~2 years) or strong interest and academic knowledge in Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, and Commercial Real Estate Financing
• •Experience in credit analysis, corporate finance and/or investment research desired
• •Highly motivated with strong academic background
• •Strong analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
• •Team player with an ability to work effectively with colleagues in other regional offices
• •Flexibility, ability to learn quickly
• •Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
