Specific Job Summary

The Insurance Manager administers critical elements of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation’s (MVW) insurance programs including contract review and renewal submission. The Insurance Analyst coordinates, develops, and manages day-to-day issues regarding MVW insurance web page content and design. Provides guidance, support, addresses and escalates concerns to mitigate risks for the organization. Establishes strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

Specific Expected Contributions

Manages Fidelity, Flood, Title Agents E&O, Association D&O insurance placements.

Manages MVW insurance web page.

Supports MVW property and casualty insurance placements by obtaining, analyzing, and assimilating renewal data.

• Coordinates project registrations with the MVW Law Dept and Association Governance.
• Support risk management needs of MVW global operations.

Maintain program schedules & insurance policies.

Collect builders risk information and provide property insurance quotes.

Teach and assist operations with certificate review and coverage analysis.

Research and resolve coverage issues.

Supports Business Case Analysis process for MVW resorts.

Supports Law Department by analyzing and negotiating contractual insurance and indemnity provisions.

Manages general analysis of limit adequacy and analysis to owners, lenders, etc.

Interfaces with MVW Risk Finance and Accounting regarding property, casualty, and D&O premium allocations (including foreign locations)

Completes special projects as needed.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills, and attributes that are important for this position)

Education requirements

Four-year degree from an accredited college strongly preferred.

AIC, ARM, CPCU preferred and/or commitment to ARM and CPCU professional program discipline preferred.

Experience level

5+ years of progressive corporate risk management experience, lodging or real estate development industry preferred.

Experience working with large and complex commercial property insurance programs and contract reviews.

Effective negotiation skills and an ability to work in a consulting capacity.

Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with others both inside and outside the insurance profession.
