The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Digital Media Specialist to join its Corporate Communications team. In this role you will be a key contributor working on Wordpress websites, digital signage, live event technology, and digital asset creation and management. This role works with all our teams to ensure our websites, signage, and events are the best they can be. You will also work with our content management systems, photography and video teams, and our various analytics and project management tools. Expect a dynamic and lively day where you will solve challenges, and work with an amazing team.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our campus facility in Chantilly, Virginia.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintains multiple internal and external WordPress-based websites, and supports and trains other website owners.
  • Prepares graphics, videos and photos for publication on multiple channels.
  • Supports corporate online, virtual, and hybrid events in event setup, livestream production, event technical management, event moderation, and metrics collection/presentation.
  • Gathers requirements from customers and partners cross-functionally to develop tool and platform recommendations based on content, security, and cost concerns.
  • Partners with other Corporate Communications teams and other requestors in the corporation on projects that involve digital media, providing support, guidance on media assets, and best practices as needed.

What You Need To Be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Interactive Digital Media Specialist II include:

  • Associate Degree in related field
  • Three or more years of related experience
  • Experience creating content and managing websites in WordPress, specifically with Gutenberg based themes, and understanding of all core aspects of Wordpress sites.
  • Experience running technical and administrative aspects of online and virtual events, including livestream production, managing presentations, switching feeds and content sources, and other backend systems.
  • Familiarity with event management on Zoom, MS Teams, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with video formats, codecs, optimization, and conversion for multi-channel publication.
  • Experience with graphic file formats and optimizing these for digital publication.
  • Experience using current best practices in website media hosting (video, animations, etc.)
  • Familiar with digital asset management systems.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Interactive Digital Media Specialist III include:

Six or more years of related experience

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Experience running digital signage systems, and ability to configure and install devices.
  • Familiarity with Vimeo, and other video hosting platforms.
  • Experience with streaming live or recorded events over YouTube or other social media channels.
  • Experience running BlackMagic or similar streaming and presentation devices.
  • Familiar with Adobe Premiere and related video software.
  • Knowledge of developing websites and themes in WordPress and SharePoint systems
  • Graphics design and/or editorial experience

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
