Making the leap from nursing school to professional practice can be overwhelming and at Sentara, we understand. Sentara offers a newly graduated Registered Nurse with less than 12 months of experience, a Nurse Residency Program that can give you the skills and support you need to make a successful transition into your professional practice.

What the program offers:

• •No separate application and no application deadlines.
• •Automatic enrollment for all newly hired graduate nurses.
• •Available at all 12 Sentara hospitals.
• •After orientation, begin your Residency right away.
• •6-months of hands-on experience alongside trained preceptors in 6 areas: Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health
• •Topics such as career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management.

FAST-TRACK APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Licensure: Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience: Graduating soon or graduated with less than one year of RN practice

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
