Robotic Process Automation Testing Consultant

Responsibilities

Define and execute end-to-end test strategies for RPA solutions across design, build, deployment, and post-release validation.

Create detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability aligned to business processes, bot workflows, and control requirements.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT support testing for bots built on leading RPA tools.

Validate bot stability across environments, schedules, queues, credentials, exception handling, and recovery scenarios.

Automate test execution where applicable using modern automation testing approaches and frameworks.

Collaborate with RPA developers to triage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and drive fixes to closure with clear evidence.

Ensure version control discipline and review changes using GitHub workflows to support controlled releases.

Support CI/CD-aligned testing practices by integrating test assets, results, and quality gates into delivery pipelines.

Produce clear test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness recommendations for stakeholders.

Mentor junior testers/consultants and contribute to reusable test accelerators, templates, and best practices.

Technical requirements

Graduation in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

5+ years of overall experience with strong exposure to testing RPA solutions and automation-driven workflows.

Hands-on experience with RPA tools and testing of bot logic, exception handling, and process outcomes.

Strong knowledge of automation testing concepts including test design, defect lifecycle, and regression strategy.

Working proficiency with at least one RPA platform such as UI Path, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate.

Experience using GitHub for version control, collaboration, and release traceability.
