Rolling Stone: Account Manager
Rolling Stone is seeking an Account Manager to join our New York-based revenue team, reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Operations. This new role will serve as a critical link between Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Ad Operations, Program Execution, and our advertising partners.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused media professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Account Manager will support the full lifecycle of advertising partnerships—from RFP response and media planning through campaign execution, reporting, and wrap-up—while serving as primary day-to-day contact for active New York territory clients.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a book of clients, providing proactive communication, campaign updates, reporting, and deliverable tracking.
Partner with Sales to manage RFPs, develop strategic media plans, and create solutions aligned with client objectives, KPIs, budgets, and buying behaviors.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate sold concepts into actionable campaign plans with clearly documented deliverables, timelines, budgets, contractual commitments, and measurement requirements.
Manage campaign kickoffs, internal handoffs, status updates, pacing, and performance—proactively identifying risks and coordinating solutions across teams.
Use campaign data and insights to develop client-facing wrap reports and identify optimization, renewal, upsell, and incremental revenue opportunities.
Maintain accurate campaign information across internal systems, support billing reconciliation, and help establish scalable account management processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in account management, client services, media planning, sales planning, or a related digital advertising role, preferably at a publisher, media company, or agency.
Strong understanding of the digital media campaign lifecycle, from RFP and media planning through launch, optimization, reporting, and billing.
Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex campaign details into clear, client-friendly updates.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace required, with experience in Salesforce, Prisma, Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and comScore preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working at a digital media company, premium publisher, or music and entertainment brand
Familiarity with integrated advertising programs spanning digital media, branded content, social, video, print, and experiential activations
Experience managing both agency and direct client relationships
Understanding of digital campaign performance metrics, reporting, optimization, and brand lift measurement
Track record of contributing to successful campaign renewals, upsells, and incremental revenue opportunities
Interest in music, entertainment, culture, and the Rolling Stone brand
