Room Attendant

Description

Crowne Plaza North Augusta is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This position is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and suites are cleaned, sanitized, stocked, and maintained in accordance with IHG brand standards and StepStone Hospitality policies. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, productivity, safety, and customer service.

1. Guest Room Cleaning & Quality Standards

• •Clean and service assigned guest rooms and suites according to established productivity and IHG cleanliness standards.
• •Change bed linens, make beds, sanitize bathrooms, dust furniture, vacuum floors, remove trash, and replenish guest amenities.
• •Inspect linens, furniture, fixtures, and equipment for stains, damage, missing items, or maintenance concerns.
• •Conduct a thorough self-inspection of each assigned room before submitting it for final inspection.
• •Promptly correct any cleaning deficiencies identified during supervisory inspections or quality assessments.

2. Daily Operations & Accountability

• •Report to the Housekeeping Office at the beginning of each shift to receive assignments, keys, and necessary supplies.
• •Maintain accurate room status and promptly communicate completed rooms, maintenance concerns, and service delays to the supervisor.
• •Properly stock and maintain housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
• •Return assigned keys and equipment at the end of each shift.
• •Assist with additional cleaning assignments and departmental needs as directed by management.

3. Guest Service & Security

• •Provide courteous, professional service and respond promptly to reasonable guest requests.
• •Respect guest privacy and strictly follow established room-entry and Do Not Disturb procedures.
• •Immediately report suspicious activity, safety concerns, damaged property, and guest complaints.
• •Turn in all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office according to hotel procedures.

4. Safety & Compliance

• •Follow all IHG, StepStone Hospitality, and OSHA safety and sanitation requirements.
• •Properly handle cleaning chemicals, use required protective equipment, and follow established bloodborne pathogen procedures.
• •Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
• •Attend required departmental meetings, training sessions, and safety programs.

Requirements

• •Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• •Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• •Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and work independently.
• •Professional communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
• •Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks. The position also requires lifting and carrying housekeeping supplies and pushing cleaning carts. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
