  • My Healthy Penguin® | Rancho Cucamonga, CA
  • Full-time | Hybrid: 1 day in office, 4 days remote
  • $25–$28/hour DOE + commission

Is this you?

You enjoy opening doors. You know how to turn a cold introduction into a real conversation. You are comfortable with technology. And you follow through.

My Healthy Penguin provides fresh meals, recurring workplace catering, and smart-fridge programs to businesses and organizations throughout Southern California.

We’re hiring an experienced outbound prospector to help grow those programs—with a particular focus on companies that need meals for their teams multiple days each week.

This is an opportunity to help bring in substantial, recurring business and earn commission on the accounts you source.

The opportunity

You’ll work directly with our COO, who handles sales meetings, proposals, pricing, and closing. You’ll own finding prospects, starting conversations, qualifying opportunities, and getting the right people to the table.

We have established customers, an operating team, and services you can stand behind. You’ll have direct access to leadership and a clear connection between the business you help generate and your earnings.

You’ll work remotely four days per week and spend one day at our Rancho Cucamonga office for collaboration, training, and pipeline review. Candidates must be able to attend the weekly office day.

What you’ll do

Research businesses that fit our recurring catering, workplace meal, and smart-fridge programs.

Find the right contacts and reach them through calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn.

Ask good questions to understand their needs, employee population, location, and decision process.

Turn promising conversations into qualified sales meetings.

Follow up consistently, reactivate older leads, and keep opportunities moving.

Prepare useful meeting notes and coordinate approved next steps, including samples and tastings.

Keep your CRM organized with clear next actions.

Who we’re looking for

You’ve generated opportunities through your own outreach and can explain how you did it. You’re comfortable on the phone, resourceful about reaching people, and persistent without being pushy.

You can organize your day, manage follow-up, and stay productive while working remotely. You listen well, recognize a worthwhile opportunity, and take ownership of your results.

Previous outbound sales or prospecting experience is required. B2B experience is strongly preferred. Food-service experience is helpful, but we’ll teach you our programs and market.

What success looks like

You’re creating a steady flow of conversations with businesses that fit our services. Your meetings are well qualified, your follow-up is dependable, and the opportunities you source turn into new accounts.

Compensation and growth

$25–$28/hour base pay , depending on experience.

Commission on business you source, with recurring payouts during each account’s first year.

No cap on total commission earnings.

Four remote workdays and one office day each week.

Direct collaboration with our COO and room to take on more of the sales process as you demonstrate results.

We’ll walk you through the commission structure and realistic account examples during the interview process.

To apply

Send your résumé and brief answers to these questions:

What have you sold, and who were your customers?

Tell us about an opportunity you created through your own outreach. How did you get the conversation started, and what happened?

What measurable results have you personally produced?

If you’re good at creating opportunities and want to see your work turn into lasting business, we’d like to meet you.
