About Citizen
Citizen is the #1 public safety app in the U.S., used by more than 15 million people across 60+ cities to stay safe and informed in real time. Through verified safety alerts, live incident maps, user broadcasts, and 24/7 access to trained safety agents, Citizen helps people understand what is happening around them and get help when it matters most. We are also expanding our enterprise business, bringing Citizen’s real-time data, video, and operational capabilities to organizations that need greater visibility and faster decision-making.
As this business grows, we need strong financial and operational infrastructure to turn pipeline into predictable revenue and lasting customer relationships. The Sales Finance and Business Operations Manager will help build that foundation across forecasting, deal desk, CRM, commissions, billing, collections, onboarding, and reporting.
Our mission is simple: Protect the World. We are building the first global safety network where people protect one another instantly and transparently.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Revenue Forecasting & Quota Setting
Own the enterprise sales forecast by maintaining a bottoms-up, pipeline-driven forecast across deal stage, expected close timing, conversion rates, and bookings assumptions.
Design and maintain quota, territory, and capacity planning in partnership with the Sales Director and CFO, including vertical-based territory mapping by account potential, geography, and market opportunity.
Administer and optimize the CRM and connected revenue tooling to ensure data integrity, accurate pipeline reporting, and clean handoffs from Sales to Finance.
Deal Desk & Contract Management
Own the deal desk process for non-standard commercial terms, including pricing exceptions, discounts, payment terms, contract duration, renewal terms, and custom deal structures requiring Finance, Legal, or executive review.
Build and maintain deal approval playbooks, including approval thresholds, standard fallback positions, required documentation, and clear rules for what Sales can approve independently versus what requires escalation.
Enforce pre-signature deal discipline by ensuring each opportunity has complete pricing, approved terms, accurate start dates, billing details, revenue recognition inputs, and clean documentation before contract execution.
Order to Cash & Accounts Receivable
Own the enterprise order-to-cash process from signed agreement through invoicing, collections, cash application, revenue handoff, and renewal tracking, ensuring each closed-won deal is processed accurately and on time.
Build scalable billing and collections workflows as Citizen grows its enterprise customer base, including invoice generation, customer follow-up, AR aging review, dispute resolution, and collections escalation.
Partner with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Customer Success to ensure executed contracts flow cleanly into billing, revenue recognition, and cash flow reporting.
Data & Systems
Maintain clean data handoffs between Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Customer Experience so closed-won deals flow accurately into invoicing, revenue recognition, and leadership reporting.
Build and maintain dashboards in partnership with Data that give leadership visibility into pipeline, bookings, ARR, NRR, churn, collections, win rate, cycle time, and vertical performance.
Administer and optimize the revenue tech stack, including HubSpot, enrichment, quoting, and enablement tools, and use AI tooling to automate reporting, CRM hygiene, deal-desk workflows, billing, collections, commissions, and forecasting.
Commissions & Variable Compensation
Own the end-to-end commission calculation process, including pulling attainment data, applying plan logic, reconciling exceptions, and delivering accurate pay files to Payroll on schedule.
Maintain commission plan documentation and ensure sales employees have clear, signed plan letters before each commission period begins.
Partner with Finance and Accounting on monthly commission accruals, payout timing, dispute resolution, and forecast updates as headcount, quota, or attainment changes.
Salary Range
This role offers a base salary of $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity.
- Compensation & Benefits
- We offer competitive salary, equity, and a full benefits package, including:
At least one fully employer-sponsored medical plan option
Dental and vision coverage, with a small employee contribution
