SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

We are hiring an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with 9-18 years of expertise in modern ABAP development and SAP S/4HANA transformation programs. The role involves leading technical solution design, driving complex development initiatives, mentoring teams, and collaborating with functional and business stakeholders across implementation, migration, upgrade, enhancement, and support engagements. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical leadership capabilities and hands-on experience in delivering enterprise-scale SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and support of RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).

Drive SAP S/4HANA development activities, including custom code remediation, extensibility, and modernization initiatives.

Architect and develop solutions using Modern ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and RAP.

Define development standards and ensure code quality, performance optimization, and best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, FI, EWM, TM, GRC, etc.) for solution design and delivery.

Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, testing cycles, UAT, cutover activities, and go-live support.

Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Participate in effort estimation, solution architecture, and stakeholder management activities.

Technical requirements

9-18 years of SAP ABAP experience with multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, and conversion projects.

Strong expertise in:

ABAP on HANA / SAP S/4HANA

CDS Views, AMDP, RAP Framework

Enhancements (BADI, User Exits, Enhancement Framework)

Interfaces (IDoc, RFC, OData, Web Services)

Forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms)

Workflow Development

Good understanding of:

Clean Core and Extensibility Concepts

SAP Development Best Practices

Performance Optimization Techniques

Technical Architecture and Solution Design

Experience with:

ATC, Code Inspector, Transport Management

Agile and DevOps Methodologies

Large-scale SAP Transformation Programs

Additional responsibilities

Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, Advanced CDS/AMDP Development, EWM, TM, GRC, and other S/4HANA modules.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead technical teams, mentor resources, and drive end-to-end project delivery.
