Job Title: Scheduler

Reports to: Director, Production

Department : Purchasing

Work Model: Full-time, On-site – No Travel Required

Schedule : Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Job Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating the jobs timelines and operations within the production schedule. This role ensures that tasks are scheduled effectively to meet deadlines and adjust schedule based on feedback. This role involves close collaboration with various departments such as sales, engineering, production, and procurement.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains the production schedule based on demand forecast, sales orders, and resource availability.
  • Analyze production and inventory data to optimize scheduling and reduce lead times.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor progress against the schedule to identify potential issues and implement change as needed.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stake holder to communicate scheduling changes, updates and any impacts to delivery schedule.
  • Utilize scheduling software and tools to generate work, reports, and metrics

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Time management principles and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Inventory management practices, ensuring accurate tracking, ordering, and stock control to support operational needs

Skills:

  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks and projects.
  • Organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers

Abilities:

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to shifting priorities and changing circumstances
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining focus and efficiency across various responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”)
  • Education requirements: GED/High School Diploma
  • Two years of planning, and/or MRP experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in business, or other related field

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Occasional exposure to manufacturing floor and testing environments. May require lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods during product testing.
