Meeting Street is currently looking for a School Registered Nurse for 40 hours per week.

Duties:

• •Maintains the health and well-being of the students during the school hours for all daily issues as well as responding al emergency situations.
• •Keeps up to date records for all students and assists with scheduling all mandatory health screens.
• •Planning and implementing all necessary nursing procedures and develop others if they are needed.
• •Administers medications and performs nursing procedures ordered by the physician to be given during school hours including but not limited to G-Tube feedings, catheterizations, respiratory treatments, dialysis, dressing changes, wound care, trach care and suctioning, etc.
• •Performs ongoing health status evaluations and medication/treatment reviews to identify health needs and potential problems.
• •Documents all nursing care and changes in a student’s health status.
• •Communicates timely updates to parents, teachers and therapy staff regarding health concerns or changes in the health status of the student.

Requirements

• •Licensed RN in Rhode Island.
• •Maintains current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
• •Adapts to any medical/technical equipment that is needed to provide health services to our students.
• •Provides care to students in their classrooms, special activities, and on field trips.
• •Generally, be able to lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with the assistance of adaptive equipment or another staff member.
