Scientific Computing & Research Engineering Expert – Earth Sciences

We are looking for Earth Sciences experts with strong computational skills to support an advanced AI evaluation initiative focused on building realistic scientific computing tasks.

This opportunity is ideal for researchers and professionals who have experience in scientific modeling, geospatial analysis, environmental datasets, and computational workflows .

Role Overview

As a Scientific Computing / Research Engineering Expert – Earth Sciences , you will:

Design realistic scientific computing tasks based on real-world Earth Science workflows

Build computational workflows involving climate, atmospheric, geological, hydrological, oceanographic, and environmental data

Develop reproducible environments and validate scientific outputs

Create evaluation criteria to assess AI-generated solutions and scientific accuracy

Required Skills & Experience

PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Earth Sciences or related fields

Strong expertise in at least one Earth Science domain

Experience with scientific programming using:

Python

R

Julia

Bash

MATLAB/Octave or similar tools

Experience with:

Scientific data processing

Numerical modeling

Geospatial analysis

Environmental datasets

Time-series analysis

Linux/terminal-based environments

Engagement Details

• Locations: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia
• Work Mode: Remote
• Engagement: Contractor Assignment
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week) with 4 hours PST overlap
