What’s the role?

We are looking for an experienced Security Officer to manage the gatehouse at our Mars site in Ballarat . This is a customer-focused role with regular face-to-face interaction with contractors, truck drivers, couriers, employees and visitors, ensuring site access requirements and security procedures are followed.

• •Manage the site gatehouse and control access to the premises.
• •Provide professional customer service to contractors, visitors, truck drivers and couriers.
• •Maintain site security, safety and compliance requirements.
• •Complete delivery processing, data entry and site documentation.
• •Monitor, report and respond to security and safety incidents.

Key responsibilities

• •Manage and monitor access to the Mars site in accordance with site entry and security procedures.
• •Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• •Receive deliveries and complete accurate data entry, registers and spreadsheets.
• •Monitor CCTV and other security systems and report any incidents or concerns.
• •Ensure all site security, safety and compliance requirements are consistently followed.

About you

• •Current Victorian Security Licence .
• •Current First Aid Certificate .
• •Previous experience in security, ideally within a gatehouse or access control environment.
• •Experience using CCTV and security systems.
• •Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• •Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• •High attention to detail and strong data entry skills.
• •Confident using Excel, spreadsheets and other computer systems.
• •Ability to build and maintain relationships with contractors, visitors and internal stakeholders.
• •Professional, reliable and proactive approach to security and safety.
