Public Housing Security Officers – Multiple Roles

MSS Security is seeking professional and reliable Security Officers to join our team across public housing sites throughout Melbourne.

We are recruiting for three separate roles:

Foot Patrol Security Officer

• •Conduct regular foot patrols across designated public housing sites.
• •Monitor buildings, common areas, entrances, car parks and surrounding grounds.
• •Identify and respond to security risks, hazards and suspicious behaviour.
• •Assist residents, visitors and stakeholders professionally.
• •Report and escalate incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Control Room Operator

• •Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios and security systems.
• •Receive and assess incident information and requests for assistance.
• •Coordinate Foot and Mobile Patrol Officers to incidents.
• •Maintain accurate incident records and communications.
• •Escalate incidents to management, Police or Emergency Services when required.

Mobile Patrol Operator

• •Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc vehicle patrols across designated sites.
• •Monitor buildings, car parks, entrances and external areas.
• •Respond to alarms, incidents and requests for assistance.
• •Identify suspicious activity, property damage and security vulnerabilities.
• •Maintain communication with the Control Room and accurately report incidents.

Carlton | Collingwood | Fitzroy | Prahran | South Melbourne | Richmond | North Melbourne | Williamstown | Flemington | Melbourne Surrounding Suburbs

Requirements:

• •Full Australian working rights.
• •Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• •First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• •Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• •Strong communication and reporting skills.
• •Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• •Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• •Full Victorian Driver Licence required for Mobile Patrol Operator.
• •Previous security experience highly regarded.
