SECURITY SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE BUSINESS & ANALYSIS GROUP/SECURITY DEPT/ADVANCED SECURITY DIV of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

• •You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and effective security practices across all levels of security (SAP, SCI, and collateral).
• •You will actively participates in command-supported security exercises and activities, contributing to the command's overall security posture.
• •You will provides security support and maintains accurate access control logs for certified spaces, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
• •You will developsand deliver workforce training programs to ensure employees understand their security responsibilities and stay informed of policy changes across all levels of security (SAP, SCI, and collateral).
• •You will attend security meetings and mandatory training sessions scheduled by the security manager or Branch Head, staying current on the latest security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: Experience applying knowledge of DoD and/or DON security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information (SECNAV M-5510.36, DoDM 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, the DoDM 5205.07, and ICD-705), Experience in providing training to the workforce under area of cognizance, Able to effectively communicate with leadership, team members, and respond to security incidents, Ability to lead a small team if needed.
