Your mission • Independently managing day-to-day financial accounting

Responsibility for monthly advance sales tax returns and other tax filings

Preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) in collaboration with external consultants

Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and U.S. GAAP

Serve as the liaison between accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as other financial departments such as Treasury and Controlling

Act as the point of contact for general accounting and tax issues

Coordinate and manage financial matters with international subsidiaries

Contribute to process design in the accounting department

What you bring on the table • Successfully completed training as a certified accountant, tax specialist, or comparable qualification; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on auditing, taxation, accounting, or financial auditing

At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting

In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)

Nice to have: initial experience in US GAAP reporting

Good knowledge of German tax law, particularly in the area of value-added tax

Proficiency in using common accounting, financial reporting, and tax software such as DATEV and NetSuite (and interfaces to these)

Good command of English and very good written and spoken German

A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work

A strong hands-on mindset and a passion for taking on responsibility in a dynamic startup or growth environment

A high degree of initiative and interest in actively shaping and further developing processes
