Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and Consolidations

Work arrangement: Hybrid — 2 days on-site per week (Novi, MI)

• The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and Consolidations is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing the Company's North America and Consolidated internal financial reporting packages — a key control supporting the accuracy and completeness of the Company's financial statements. This role also performs monthly consolidation and accounting close procedures, and is encouraged to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline reporting and analysis.
• The ideal candidate combines strong accounting or finance training with sharp technical, analytical, and communication skills. This role requires comfort managing large data sets, assessing financial statement variances, and advising management on risks and opportunities identified through that analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare internal financial reporting packages that serve as a key control over the reporting of actuals

Analyze financial results, including trend and variance analysis, and communicate findings to management

Perform monthly consolidation and accounting close procedures, including preparing and reviewing trial balances, journal entries, accruals, and account/bank reconciliations in compliance with US GAAP

Review and analyze inter-company and intra-company balances and transactions

Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to drive process improvements, implement accounting policies, and ensure complete, accurate financials

Build and maintain automated reporting tools to increase team productivity

Build strong, trust-based relationships with operating leaders across the organization

Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline reporting, analysis, and close processes, and identify opportunities to modernize existing workflows

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting

3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative), problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong customer-service orientation and ability to consistently meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to set goals and prioritize, organize, and execute against them

Preferred:

CPA license (active or in progress)

Experience working with global teams and processes

Experience with Workday, Adaptive Insights, and Workiva (Wdesk)

Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to support financial analysis or reporting workflows
