We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Commercial Insurance team in Melbourne working with Kerri Thomas and Jehan Mata .

About the team and the work

The role offers exposure to a broad range of public liability and property damage claims.

The team also provide coverage advice to insurers and pursue s recovery actions for first party property losses.

Clients include Australian and international insurers and self-insured corporates.

This role will suit an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel who is looking for a clear progression path, enjoys mentoring junior team members, and is eager to play a key role in business development.

The team embraces working flexibly and therefore we welcome applications from candidates who are looking for flexibility in their next role.

About you

At least 5 years' experience gained in a well-regarded defendant insurance practice

Experience in liability and professional indemnity matters is essential

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

Willingness to mentor junior team members and be involved in business development activities.
