POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Sales Director, India, you will play a key role in continuing Duck Creek Technologies’ growth in the India market. Working closely with the leaders and the broader go-to-market team, you will be responsible for growing Duck Creek Technologies’ footprint and brand in the region by expanding our client portfolio.
A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with customers, systems integrators (SIs), solution partners, consulting partners, industry analysts, and the respective regulators.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the existing pipeline in India to successful closure.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and partnerships to drive long-term business growth.
- Leverage existing client relationships.
- Work with SI partners to develop strategies to address client needs and market dynamics and build pipeline.
- Work closely with the APAC Marketing Lead to drive marketing activities that build Duck Creek Technologies’ brand in India and generate leads and opportunities.
- Use Salesforce to manage the pipeline and ensure data is accurate and timely.
- Use Duck Creek Technologies’ Value Selling Framework for all deals. Training and certification is provided, and the tools and methodology are embedded in Salesforce.
- Attend Sales Forecast Meetings and provide regular updates against quarterly and annual targets.
- Attend Duck Creek Technologies events as required, which may include the annual client event “Formation,” the annual Global Kick-Off (GKO) for go-to-market, and relevant client and marketing events.
- Perform all other duties as required.
- Act in accordance with and as a good steward of Duck Creek Technologies’ mission, vision, and core values.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Existing pipeline is managed through successful closure.
- New business opportunities, leads, and pipeline are developed in the India market.
- Strong relationships are maintained with clients, SIs, solution partners, consulting partners, industry analysts, and regulators.
- Pipeline data in Salesforce is accurate and timely.
- Regular updates are provided against quarterly and annual targets.
- Duck Creek Technologies’ brand presence in India is supported through relevant marketing and client activities.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- 15+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the P&C insurance or SaaS industry.
- Deep understanding of the India market and regional business landscape.
- Strong existing relationships and market presence.
- Proven experience in developing and executing market-expansion strategies.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in managing client and stakeholder relationships and pipeline growth.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience managing a pipeline, forecasting, and related operational discipline.
PREFERRED
- Familiarity with the P&C insurance industry and working with multinational companies.
- Experience working with SI partners and leveraging networks for business development.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies to build brand presence in new markets.
- Experience working with insurance industry regulators.
- Experience working with industry analysts.

This role is aligned to a specific location, and you are expected to reside within reasonable proximity to that location. You will partner with your leader to participate in meaningful in-person moments that support team connection, collaboration, and business priorities.
At the start of your employment, your work may be performed remotely, subject to business needs and company guidelines. As our Flying Together approach continues to evolve, you may be expected to transition to a hybrid work arrangement, including working from a designated office location on a schedule determined by your leader and organizational needs.
