A bit about your role

As part of a field service team based in the Adelaide Metropolitan area , you'll discover a diverse and dynamic workplace where no two days are alike. In your day to day work you'll be the backbone that keeps Australia connected, delivering end-to-end service to homes and businesses across the nation. From installation to repair and maintenance, you'll see the impact of your work in real time with every satisfied customer. You'll collaborate with a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities for coaching, mentorship and career progression at every step.

As a Senior Field Technician, you'll be a trusted expert within the field workforce. Working across multiple technologies, you'll resolve complex network faults, support service restorations, mentor technicians and play a key role in maintaining the safety, quality and performance standards of the nbn network. You'll also provide guidance to field teams, helping uplift capability, share best practice and support the resolution of escalated service issues.

A bit about you

To thrive in this role, you'll be an autonomous and motivated self-starter, with extensive experience across HFC, fibre and copper network installation, assurance, restoration and fault diagnostics. You'll have an appetite to embrace a complex industry while learning and developing on the job.

Ideal candidates for this role will have an ACMA licence (preferred but not required), preferably with a Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications, and draw on their dedication, drive and customer service skills to deliver service with integrity and solutions with a smile every day.

• •Experience managing complex service restoration activities and supporting the resolution of escalated network faults across multiple access technologies

Practical experience in civil avoidance and remediation techniques that minimise customer disruption and installation costs, including paver removal and reinstatement, dig-down repairs, shallow excavation and the safe operation of civil construction equipment such as trenchers where required. The ability to assess site conditions and identify less invasive installation methods will be highly regarded.
