Job Summary

The Senior - Financial Strategy Analyst delivers data-driven portfolio performance analyses, forecasts, and financial models to inform strategic business decisions and optimize profitability. The Senior - Financial Strategy Analyst develops client contract deal structures, promotional pricing strategies, and performance tracking tools, while also driving process automation and providing ad-hoc analytical support. Utilizing a deep understanding of portfolio profitability, the Senior - Financial Strategy Analyst collaborates with internal partners and presents financial insights to all management levels, contributing significantly to the organization's financial planning and forecasting processes.

Essential Job Functions

• •Generate financial performance analyses and forecasts via data tools and provide comprehensive reporting. Analyze client performance against expectations, identifying variances and trends. Develop and maintain financial models, including pricing and forecasting models, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders. - (30%)
• •Proactively identify and propose process improvements based on portfolio trends. Lead internal client discussions and participate in brand strategy sessions. Define project objectives, success metrics, and risk mitigation strategies. Conduct competitive market research and analysis. - (30%)
• •Independently extract and manipulate data from Essbase, SQL, and MicroStrategy to build and update reports. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all financial reporting and analysis. - (15%)
• •Develop and maintain key financial reports and models to support portfolio analysis and forecasting. Create and distribute ad-hoc reports based on evolving business needs. Ensure accuracy and quality of all financial reporting deliverables. - (15%)
• •Manage ad-hoc projects, including interdepartmental collaborations, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Prioritize and manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines. Utilize advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) for data analysis and reporting. - (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

• •Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field
• •5-8 years of experience in analysis and reporting in the Financial Services field

Preferred Qualifications

• •Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Analytics or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
• •9+ years of experience in analysis and reporting in the Financial Services field
• •Experience in Credit Card industry
• •Experience owning forecasting and budgeting
• •Experience with SQL or python

Work Environment

Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$81,100.00 - $129,800.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $93,300.00 - $162,300.00
Colorado: $81,100.00 - $142,800.00
New York: $89,200.00 - $162,300.00
Washington: $89,200.00 - $149,300.00
Maryland: $89,200.00 - $142,800.00
Washington DC: $93,300.00 - $149,300.00
Illinois: $81,100.00 - $142,800.00
New Jersey: $93,300.00 - $149,300.00
Vermont: $81,100.00 - $129,800.00
Ohio: $81,100.00 - $129,800.00
Maine: $81,100.00 - $129,800.00
Connecticut: $89,200.00 - $142,800.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
