Senior Global Forwarding Agent

In this role, you will engage with peers on-site 5 days a week, igniting creativity and driving impactful results. Upon successful completion of your training, you will then switch to 2 days a week in the office, working the rest of the time from home. This role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Coordinate complex international shipments from purchase order through final delivery, ensuring customer requirements and standard operating procedures are met

Manage bookings, pre-alerts, government filings, shipment documentation, delivery execution, and invoicing

Maintain accurate and complete shipment data, including Incoterms, routing, dates, financial details, and supporting documents

Apply industry expertise and critical thinking to resolve shipping challenges and develop effective solutions

Prepare complex quotes, apply pricing strategies, and ensure accurate customer billing

Provide proactive shipment tracking, timely updates, and responsive issue resolution to customers

Serve as a trusted customer contact and subject matter expert for global forwarding processes and requirements

Build strong relationships with customers, agents, internal offices, outside vendors, sales executives, and account managers

Analyze shipment trends, identify process improvements, and recommend technology solutions that increase efficiency and support revenue growth

Mentor and train team members on shipment execution, customer requirements, pricing strategies, and operational best practices

Required Qualifications:

• •High School diploma or GED
• •Minimum 4 years of Global Forwarding industry experience
• •Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• •Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business
• •Extensive industry and department knowledge (process & handling, regulations, international shipping, etc.)
• •Strong prioritization, multi-tasking skills, and high level of flexibility as priorities and needs change daily
• •Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, and analytical mindset
• •Excellent written and oral communication skills
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
• •Proven track record of dealing with customers and being client focused
• •High level of attention to detail and ability to execute with 95% or higher monthly audit compliance and minimal unbillable charges

Compensation Range

$24.64 - $38.43

The base pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
