Your role

This is not a config-and-tickets DevOps role. We're looking for someone who treats infrastructure as a programming problem: writing real software (in Go) to automate, scale, and harden the systems that run a security-critical platform.

Own best practices for managing production infrastructure, including provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning, and monitoring

Build and maintain our Kubernetes infrastructure at scale, along with the Terraform-provisioned cloud resources that sit underneath it

Write custom automation and tooling in Go to reduce manual work and eliminate entire classes of operational risk

Build infrastructure to manage and deploy applications in secure enclaves

Design thoughtful deployment processes that reduce the risks inherent in the software development lifecycle

Improve operations across our infrastructure and systems, including deployment, logging, monitoring, and alerting

Assist in scaling out a world-class engineering team

What we're looking for

Strong multi-cloud infrastructure experience, AWS strongly preferred

Real programming ability in Go. You should be comfortable writing production software, not just scripts or configuration

Hands-on experience running Kubernetes at scale and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform

A learning mindset and high agency. We care more about how fast you pick things up and how much ownership you take than about years of experience on paper

An understanding of modern application architectures, with opinions on how they should be developed and deployed

Experience working in extremely security conscious environments

A healthy amount of paranoia :)

People who think Web3/cryptocurrency has the potential to radically change the world for the better, and a sincere desire to help facilitate that change

Based in the US

Style points

Experience with trusted execution environments, secure enclaves, hardware security modules, or other attestable compute environments

A deep understanding of Linux and how to reduce the surface area of applications deployed on top of it

Expertise in threshold signing systems and a desire to stay on the cutting edge of production-grade cryptography

Actively tracking developments in the crypto ecosystem and opinionated on where it's going

Compensation range

$200,000 — $240,000 USD
