Senior Infrastructure Engineer MXT

Job Details:

As a member of the SAP Basis team, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the SAP landscape to ensure performance, stability, and scalability. In addition to core Basis responsibilities, you will contribute to data volume management initiatives by helping define archiving strategies, implementing archiving solutions, and supporting ongoing system optimization efforts. You will partner with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to align SAP operations with business and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Administer, monitor, and support SAP systems across the landscape, including system installations, upgrades, patching, transports, performance tuning, and overall system availability.
• •Configure and support SAP data archiving solutions as part of broader data volume management initiatives, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
• •Define and maintain data retention and lifecycle policies, including data aging, archiving, and purging, in alignment with SAP best practices and organizational standards.
• •Assist with troubleshooting cross-platform issues spanning SAP ECC/S/4HANA, databases, operating systems, and SAP BTP services as needed.
• •Collaborate with ABAP developers, functional teams, and infrastructure partners to ensure Basis, data management, and performance considerations are addressed throughout the application lifecycle.
• •Provide Basis-level support for SAP BTP connectivity and integrations, including system connectivity, transport coordination, and monitoring of cloud-to-on‑premise scenarios.

Qualifications:

• •Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• •3-5 years of experience in SAP analysis, configuration and deployment.
• •Familiar with SAP data lifecycle management, including: Data archiving strategies, ILM concepts, Data volume optimization in ECC and/or S/4HANA.
• •Strong understanding of SAP database technologies (e.g., SAP HANA) and storage solutions.
• •Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA in managed or cloud-based environments (including SAP RISE preferred)
• •Familiarity with SAP BTP concepts, including connectivity, security integration, and operational support preferred
• •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• •Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
