• This role supports the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of mission-critical applications serving the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• You’ll work across established enterprise Java platforms while helping transition capabilities toward modern application architectures.
• The position combines hands-on development with opportunities to modernize monolithic systems through microservices and API-driven designs.
• You’ll contribute to applications built with both legacy enterprise technologies and modern Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• The role involves solving complex production issues, improving application performance, and delivering reliable software in an Agile environment.
• You’ll collaborate with architects and senior engineers while contributing to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployments.
