Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team. This role combines traditional legal practice — advisory work and contract review — with a forward-looking mandate to modernize how the legal function manages knowledge and leverages artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be a hands-on legal practitioner who is also comfortable partnering with technology teams to build AI-driven tools that make the legal function faster, more consistent, and more scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Contract Review

• •Provide timely, practical legal advice to business units on commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters.
• •Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts (commercial agreements, vendor/procurement contracts, NDAs, partnership and service agreements, etc.), identifying and mitigating legal risk.
• •Support corporate governance matters, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution as required.
• •Liaise with external counsel on specialized or high-risk matters.
• •Keep abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and advise the business on their implications.

Legal Knowledge Management

• •Own the organization, structuring, and governance of the legal team's knowledge base — precedents, templates, playbooks, policies, past advice, and contract clause libraries.
• •Establish taxonomies, tagging conventions, and version-control practices that make legal content consistent, searchable, and "AI-ready."
• •Audit existing legal resources for accuracy, redundancy, and gaps, and lead efforts to clean up and standardize documentation.
• •Define data governance and confidentiality protocols for legal knowledge assets, particularly where they will be used to train or ground AI tools.

AI Enablement for Legal Functions

• •Partner with IT/technology, data, and innovation teams to identify use cases where AI can support or expedite legal work (e.g., contract review assistance, clause extraction, legal research, first-draft generation, query triage).
• •Assist in designing, testing, and refining AI agents/tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants) built on the legal team's curated knowledge base, ensuring outputs are legally sound and appropriately scoped.
• •Develop prompts, guardrails, and review workflows to ensure AI-assisted work products meet the required standard of legal accuracy and are subject to appropriate human oversight.
• •Monitor performance and risk of AI tools used in the legal function, and recommend improvements or escalate concerns as needed.
• •Help train legal and business colleagues on the appropriate and responsible use of AI tools in legal workflows.
