The AI Platform team builds the capabilities that power AI across LexisNexis IP’s flagship analytics products. We explore emerging AI technologies and turn them into intelligent, practical features for our customers, alongside reusable tools and services for our internal platform. You will join a team working with modern, cloud-native infrastructure and play a meaningful role in building LexisNexis IP’s AI future.

About the role

Our IP analytics platform brings together highly curated, enriched datasets; sophisticated analytical tools; streamlined workflows; and powerful visualisations. It enables essential IP activities including competitive intelligence, benchmarking and portfolio optimisation—all in one place.

As part of the AI Platform team, you will help research, design and deliver the AI capabilities behind these products. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from evaluating emerging technologies and designing agentic systems to building scalable, cost-efficient production services.

Responsibilities

• •Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies for use in customer-facing features.
• •Design and build agentic AI systems and AI-powered product capabilities.
• •Develop reusable frameworks for evaluating AI quality, safety and performance.
• •Build scalable, high-performance and cost-efficient services.
• •Work with technologies including Python, AWS (EKS, S3, RDS and Terraform), and AI/ML and data-science libraries such as Google ADK, pandas and FAISS.
• •Help develop and evolve AWS platform infrastructure using Terraform, including RDS instances and EKS clusters.
• •Mentor junior developers in engineering best practices, including test-driven development with pytest and idiomatic Python.
• •Write and review detailed technical specifications for moderately complex system components.
• •Participate actively in development processes, code reviews and Scrum ceremonies.
• •Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Requirements

• •Experience working with modern Python codebases.
• •Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform, including infrastructure-as-code practices.
• •A solid understanding of software engineering principles, techniques and delivery processes.
• •Experience with generative AI and agentic AI systems.
• •Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage varied audiences.
• •Experience with Azure Pipelines and Terraform is desirable, but not essential.
