Job Description:

System Z Technical Expertise

• •Recognized technical contributor with solid z/OS system programming skills on the mainframe platform, not as computer operator, with minimum 18 years’ experience is free to apply.
• •Strong exposure on adoption of product solutions/portfolio is a prerequisite.
• •Proven ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of numerous variable factors is mandatory.
• •Strong experience in mainframe Cybersecurity and/or DevOps is a must .
• •Able to conduct technical presentations and/or Proof of Value with little supervision
• •Working understanding of core business applications in FSI and/or government
• •Architectural understanding of Hybrid Cloud integrating System z with public and private cloud
• •Self-starter: requires independent daily decision-making capabilities and actions.

Technical Skills

• •Experienced on z/OS, preferably z/OS 3.1 and above
• •ZOWE proficiency
• •z/OSMF proficiency
• •SMP/e proficiency
• •AT-TLS skills – a prerequisite
• •SAF (RACF, ACF2, TSS) skills - a prerequisite
• •Unix/Linux, and containers some exposure to installing/configuring modern software would be beneficial.
• •Working expertise in mainframe DevOps adoption (Endevor, Testing tools, Git, etc).
• •Minimum 18 years of strong hands-on experience as system programmer on mainframe platform, not as computer operator, is mandatory.

Soft Skills

• •Problem-solving: Break down complexity and uncover obscure technical issues
• •Structured communication: Clear insights delivered at different executive and technical levels
• •Client management: Quickly building and sustaining trust.
• •Comfortable to network with key contacts outside own area of expertise internally externally is an added advantage.
