The Role:

The Senior Manager, Commercial Excellence & PMO will establish and lead strategic initiatives across the commercial organization and the broader customer journey. This role will create the governance, prioritization, planning, and execution framework needed to translate strategic priorities into coordinated, cross-functional programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Working across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner Management, Product, Operations, IT, Data & Analytics, and AI, this leader will maintain an integrated view of excellence initiatives, ensuring priorities are aligned, dependencies are managed, resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities, and progress is visible to leadership. The role serves as the connective layer between strategy and execution, bringing structure, accountability, and transparency to complex initiatives without replacing business, product, or technical ownership.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage an integrated portfolio of strategic commercial and customer journey initiatives.
  • Develop governance, intake, prioritization, and portfolio management processes that align investments with business priorities.
  • Maintain visibility into initiative objectives, ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.
  • Provide leadership with fact-based recommendations on prioritization, sequencing, investment decisions, and trade-offs.
  • Create and operate governance frameworks, decision-making processes, escalation paths, and review cadences.
  • Prepare executive-level portfolio updates and decision materials that support effective leadership decisions.
  • Support annual and quarterly planning by connecting strategic priorities to active and proposed initiatives.
  • Lead selected high-priority transformation programs and coordinate execution across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner Management, Product, Operations, IT, Data & Analytics, and AI.
  • Build integrated plans that align business process, technology, data, governance, enablement, communications, and adoption activities.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, decisions, actions, and milestones to ensure successful execution.
  • Facilitate alignment and decision-making across stakeholders, helping teams move from strategy and design into accountable delivery.
  • Ensure initiatives support the target customer journey and commercial operating model while promoting consistent ways of working globally.
  • Identify duplication, gaps, conflicting priorities, and sources of operational complexity across the portfolio.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, and successful adoption of change.
  • Establish portfolio reporting and success metrics that focus on business outcomes, value realization, and measurable impact.
  • Monitor initiative performance and recommend acceleration, redesign, consolidation, or closure based on results and evolving priorities.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future efforts.

Key Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise PMO, strategy execution, commercial operations, management consulting, or complex program leadership.
  • Strong experience in warehouse automation, logistics, 3PL, or related industries
  • Proven experience managing portfolios of interconnected initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience establishing governance, prioritization, executive reporting, and planning frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of commercial organizations and the relationships between sales, marketing, customer success, partner management, operations, product, data, and technology teams.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into structured programs, workstreams, and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving alignment without direct authority.
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
