Overview:
Sentara Community Care Center Berkley in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Full-time Senior Medical Assistant to join their team.
Hours
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Monday and Tuesday – 8am – 5pm, Wed and Thurs – 8am – 6pm, Fri – 8am – 2pm
- Occasional Community Events ( Saturday/Sunday participation required)
Overview
Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or
- EMT Basic Certification (EMT).
Experience
Patient Care experience of 3 years (Required)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $24.95 - $35.95 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
