  • Establish data models, schema design standards, indexing strategies, and data governance practices.
  • Evaluate application access patterns and recommend optimal NoSQL data structures.
  • Design and implement sharding, replication, and clustering solutions.
  • MongoDB Administration
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MongoDB databases.
  • Manage MongoDB Atlas, Enterprise, or Community Edition deployments.
  • Perform backup, restore, recovery, and database refresh activities.
  • Implement database security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
  • Performance Optimization
  • Analyze database performance issues and implement tuning recommendations.
  • Optimize queries, aggregation pipelines, indexes, and data access patterns.
  • Monitor database health, capacity, and resource utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvements in database performance and availability.
  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery
  • Design and support MongoDB Replica Sets.
  • Implement DR strategies and ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met.
  • Conduct failover testing and resiliency validation.
  • Support business continuity initiatives.
  • Cloud & Automation
  • Deploy and manage MongoDB databases across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and database automation solutions.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, and operational tasks.
  • Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support & Operations
  • Provide L3 support for critical production environments.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with application, cloud, and DevOps teams.

  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas Migration.

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Experience supporting GenAI, Vector Databases, or AI-driven applications.
  • Exposure to Kafka and event-driven architectures.
