- About the role:
- The Senior Portfolio & Pricing Manager is a highly commercial role within Plenti's Consumer Lending team, responsible for understanding and optimising the performance and profitability of the Consumer Lending portfolio across Personal Loans and Consumer Automotive. Bringing deep expertise across portfolio management, pricing and lending economics, you will use data to understand what is driving performance and identify opportunities to improve growth, margin and returns. Working closely with Product, Risk, Treasury, Finance and Distribution, you will help shape pricing strategy, evaluate new opportunities and provide the commercial insight behind some of Plenti's most important Consumer Lending decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Own portfolio performance — analyse and optimise volume, margin, risk and returns across the Consumer Lending portfolio
Lead pricing strategy across Personal Loans and Consumer Auto, including the development of risk-based pricing frameworks
Model the commercial impact of pricing and policy changes on volume, margin, risk and profitability
Develop broker and channel profitability models, covering commissions, concessions and acquisition costs
Assess AI and automation opportunities, quantifying expected benefits and return on investment
Prepare commercial analysis and recommendations for the Head of Consumer Lending and Executive forums
Proactively identify opportunities and bring recommendations to the business, rather than simply reporting on performance
- About you:
- You’re commercially curious, with strong judgement and a drive to understand the “why” behind portfolio performance. You can simplify complex analysis into clear recommendations, confidently challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership of complex problems to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.
You will have:
10+ years' experience across portfolio management, pricing, commercial analytics or related roles within financial services
Deep experience in consumer lending, ideally across personal loans, automotive finance, asset finance, unsecured lending or retail banking
Strong understanding of lending economics, portfolio profitability, net interest margin, funding costs and credit risk
Demonstrated experience developing and optimising pricing strategies, ideally including risk-based pricing
Strong experience analysing portfolio performance and customer cohorts, and building complex commercial models that translate analysis into business recommendations
Advanced Excel and strong SQL capability, with experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools (Python or SAS advantageous)
Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders
