Product at Nabla
Product development at Nabla is led jointly by Engineering and Product and organized into cross-functional squads. As a Product Manager in the ambient speech-to-text squad, you will join a team focused on speech and ambient intelligence, contributing end-to-end to the evolution of our real-time clinical audio stack.
Your Team
As a Product Manager on the Ambient Speech team, you will own the product strategy and execution for the voice intelligence layer at the heart of Nabla's AI assistant. Ambient speech is the foundation of the clinician experience: it determines what Nabla can reliably hear, understand, and turn into useful documentation and downstream actions.
You will work in a cross-functional squad alongside ML engineers, software engineers, designers, data scientists, and clinical experts. Together, you will turn complex speech and audio capabilities — including transcription, speaker diarization, language detection, and real-time processing — into products that clinicians trust and use every day.
What you'll do
Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Nabla's ambient speech and voice intelligence capabilities
Develop a deep understanding of how clinicians use Nabla in real patient encounters, including the moments where audio quality, speaker attribution, latency, or transcription accuracy affect trust and adoption
Translate clinician needs and business priorities into clear product opportunities, requirements, and success metrics for the speech squad
Partner closely with ML engineers to define the highest-impact improvements across speech recognition, diarization, voice activity detection, principal-speaker detection, language detection, custom vocabulary, and real-time audio processing
Make thoughtful product trade-offs between accuracy, latency, cost, reliability, and time to market
Define and monitor product quality metrics that connect technical speech performance with clinician outcomes — such as perceived transcription quality, note quality, edit rates, successful capture rates, activation, retention, and support burden
Lead discovery efforts with clinicians, customers, and internal stakeholders to identify unmet needs across specialties, languages, modalities, and care settings
Design experiments and launch plans that validate new capabilities quickly while protecting the quality and reliability of the core clinical experience
Work with Design to create simple, intuitive experiences that make sophisticated speech technology feel seamless and trustworthy
Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, privacy, security, and downstream product teams to ensure ambient speech capabilities integrate reliably into note generation and future agentic workflows
Build alignment across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Go-to-Market, and leadership teams around priorities, progress, risks, and product decisions
Establish a strong feedback loop from production usage, customer feedback, and operational signals into the squad's roadmap and continuous improvement process
Your DNA
5+ years of technical product management experience, ideally building technical or workflow-critical products
Experience building products powered by machine learning models or working closely with ML teams
Strong product judgment and a demonstrated ability to identify high-value user problems, define a product strategy, and ship meaningful improvements
Experience working closely with engineers and comfort discussing technical systems, data quality, experimentation, APIs, latency, reliability, and product instrumentation
Exceptional ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear user value, product requirements, and prioritization decisions
Strong analytical skills, including experience defining success metrics, interpreting product data, and using qualitative and quantitative evidence to make decisions
A user-obsessed mindset and strong empathy for clinicians operating in high-pressure environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information, competing priorities, and high ownership
Bonus: experience with voice AI, speech recognition, real-time systems, audio products, conversational AI, healthcare/clinical documentation, multilingual products, or B2B SaaS in complex frontline workflows
