Researches trends and developments in a defined technology area and derives respective suggestions to R&D Management. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior Scientist – Collaborations Manager, you will be responsible for :
- Managing scientific collaborations at Strategic Value Partnership sites and driving joint collaborative projects.
- Identifying, building, and supporting strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Collaborate with radiologists, medical physicists, and other clinical partners to identify unmet needs and define study protocols that highlight Siemens Healthineers’ CT technology benefits.
- Maintaining clinical and technical expertise in computed tomography (CT) - Collaborating both with CT R&D development teams and clinical partners for comprehensive evaluation and testing of developmental software & hardware prototypes and new products.
- Translate research findings into publications, conference presentations, and white papers to showcase the impact of Siemens Healthineers’ CT technology.
- Represent Siemens Healthineers CT R&D collaborations team in scientific and executive forums, independently leading interactions with senior clinical, research, and administrative stakeholders.
- Drafting, negotiating, and executing collaboration contracts with support from internal legal, regulatory, and compliance teams.
- Tracking milestones and deliverables of research projects.
- Maintaining an accurate budget of research contracts and conducting budget planning with appropriate colleagues.
- Partner with marketing and commercial teams to align clinical evidence with product positioning and value messaging.
This position may suit you best if:
- You have completed a PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You possess a strong clinical and technical background in Computed Tomography, Medical Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, Radiation Therapy, or related disciplines.
- Experience with photon-counting CT is a plus.
- You are intellectually curious, resourceful, and motivated to identify innovative applications and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- You can work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- You are a strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and influence scientific direction.
- You can communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to audiences ranging from technical experts to executive leadership.
- You demonstrate executive presence and are comfortable representing Siemens Healthineers in discussions with KOL physicians, healthcare executives, research leaders, and government stakeholders.
- You are willing and able to travel up to 30%, including occasional international travel.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in industry, clinical research, or a postdoctoral environment.
- Demonstrated success building and managing scientific collaborations with external research and clinical partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Executive presence and the ability to independently represent Siemens Healthineers with senior scientific and clinical leaders.
- Assertive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong can-do mindset.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary and cross-functional environments.

The base pay range for this position is:
$109,920 - $151,140
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
