Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Automation Developer with deep expertise in test automation, quality engineering, and backend systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about building scalable automation solutions, improving software quality, and driving engineering excellence across the development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, enabling continuous quality practices, and partnering closely with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.

• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Drive automation strategy and implementation using modern test automation tools and best practices.
• Develop reliable, maintainable, and reusable test automation solutions integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and architects to improve product quality and testability.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and technical solutioning with a quality-first mindset.
• Analyze application architecture and backend services to create effective validation strategies.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect prevention activities.
• Champion engineering excellence, automation-first thinking, and continuous improvement across the team.
• Automation Engineering (Primary Focus)
• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using:
• Playwright
• Selenium WebDriver
• Java
• JUnit and/or TestNG
• Proven experience implementing UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture, design patterns, and framework development.
• Experience developing reusable libraries, utilities, and automation components.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Ability to establish automation quality gates and reporting metrics.
• Backend & API Validation
• Strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience testing and automating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with:
• REST APIs
• JSON/XML payload validation
• API Automation Frameworks
• Database validation using SQL
• Ability to analyze logs, traces, and backend processes to identify defects and validate business workflows.
• Experience validating end-to-end application flows across UI, middleware, and backend systems.
