Primary Responsibilities

• •Apply analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other engineering tools to develop models, perform structural and dynamic analyses, conduct calculations, reduce test data, and correlate results.
• •Partner closely with design and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance structures that meet demanding requirements for performance, manufacturability, and schedule.

Basic Qualifications

• •Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
• •Possess 8–12 years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6–10 years with a master’s degree.
• •Demonstrated experience with any of the commercial finite element analysis tools (e.g. FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).
• •Strong technical writing, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• •Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• •Capable of working as part of a larger analysis team or working as the sole analyst on a project.
• •U.S. citizenship and a current Final Secret Clearance—or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.
• •Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 or higher GPA.
• •Advanced expertise in
• •Linear and nonlinear contact FEA
• •Application of nonlinear material properties to both FEA and hand calculations
• •Integrated multi-physics analysis
• •Bolted joint and weld analysis
• •Dynamics analysis (modal, response spectrum, shock, vibration)
• •Bolted joint and weld analysis
• •Fatigue analysis
• •Composite materials analysis
• •Thermal analysis

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
