Senior Supervisor - Transport

Responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with transport vendors to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant logistics operations. This role focuses on vendor performance monitoring and continuous improvement across transportation activities.

1. Vendor Management & Coordination

• •Manage day-to-day operations with transport vendors (fleet providers, 3PLs, subcontractors).
• •Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and escalations.
• •Develop strong vendor relationships to ensure long-term collaboration.

2. Performance Monitoring & KPIs

• •Track and analyze vendor performance using KPIs such as:
• •On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• •Fleet utilization
• •Delivery accuracy
• •Safety and compliance metrics

Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and scorecards.

3. Compliance & Safety

• •Ensure vendors comply with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards.
• •Monitor adherence to transport regulations (e.g., licensing, insurance, vehicle standards).
• •Enforce safety programs including driver behavior, fatigue management, and incident reporting.

4. Operational Support

• •Coordinate with internal teams (planning, warehouse, customer service) to align transport operations.
• •Resolve operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, and capacity shortages.
• •Ensure smooth execution of daily transport activities.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

• •Prepare and analyze transport and vendor performance reports.
• •Use telematics and TMS data to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• •Present insights and recommendations to management.

6. Continuous Improvement

• •Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives (e.g., TMS, telematics systems).
• •Implement best practices in vendor management and transport operations.
• •Lead or support transport-related projects.
