Senior UX/UI Designer

As a Senior UX/UI Designer , you’ll help shape the digital experiences customers have across Balsam Brands websites. You’ll take ownership of UX/UI projects from early concepts through final design and developer handoff, partnering closely with Product, eCommerce, Technology, and other teams along the way. You’ll bring together user needs, business goals, and strong visual design to create thoughtful, intuitive, and consistent experiences while advocating for the customer throughout the design process.

What you'll be doing:

Design Production

Understands brand, products and users to produce high quality designs in accordance with brand guidelines.

Brainstorms, sketches and creates mockups of multiple ideas to effectively satisfy design requirements and business goals.

Provides final UX/UI designs with specifications for developers.

Designs icons and graphic assets for use across various digital channels.

Design Iteration

Partners with Product Managers & eCommerce teams to hypothesize, test, and measure success of the product, leveraging current tools & technologies.

Translates hypothesis, based on business results and testing, into concepts and requirements, delivering user flows, customer journey, wireframes, comps and prototypes.

Conducts User Research, within design projects, to understand user pain points and identify action items based on insights.

User-Centered Approach and Consistency

Follows and updates style guides and pattern libraries, and ensure consistent implementation.

Understands customer goals, business requirements and technical constraints to work within project parameters.

Advocates for design, customers, and accessibility best practices.

Manages multiple priorities/projects under tight deadlines, working independently and/or with the design team.

Articulates design decisions.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

What we're looking for:

Undergraduate degree in Web/Graphic Design or equivalent work experience

5+ years of relevant experience

An online portfolio (please specify which work was created 100% by you vs. by a team)

Passion for design (typography, color and grid layouts)

Knowledge of mobile design standards and familiarity with responsive design best practices

User-centered approach to design

Proficient in Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator with the ability to produce organized files with sensible layer structures and naming

Competency with HTML and CSS

Impeccable eye for detail and consistency

Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback and constructive criticism

Strong organizational skills

Self-motivated

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desire to have fun at work

Location: The Senior UX/UI Designer position is a remote working position for Balsam Brands Philippines in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

Our must-haves:

Must attend occasional in-person meetings.

Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber, or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 50MBPS .

Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
